Summer Learning Journey !

Hey, Has school finished yet ? Are you bored at home ? Not doing anything just sitting there reading this Blog Post. Lockdown At Level 3 (Second Time Round)

 At level 3 (Lock down) it was challenging for me, especially because I had to get up early in the morning to clean and I also had to take care of my mum, she had stage one stomach cancer. I've been going out to get what my mum wanted from the store.

 I couldn't get online but I sent a note to my tutor teacher about what I've been getting up to and what my excuse was for not going online. My lock down was okay but pretty boring, not much to do except for cleaning and doing chores for my parents.

My opinion about the lock down was a smart idea so that it doesn't spread fast but at the same time it was hard to get out especially when you have trust issues when being around others in the public. 

Black Lives Matter Protest

Black Lives Matter !
Everyday black men or women get attacked for being themselves. A lot of people have been shot and killed for being black.

I think that the marching and protest wasn't really good at first, but I understand for why they're like that, some went to make this world peaceful and some went to march and support black lives.

Remember that all lives matter !

Samoan Language Week!

So this is how I prepare myself. I prepare myself by taking care of my younger siblings, my parents and as well as my older siblings, even if i'm younger I still have to take action on being the youngest and take care of them.

I’ve taken care of my older siblings and parents when they need help or when they're sick or tired I've sometimes enjoyed taking care of them especially because I love them, they’re also funny and fun to hang with.

Every time I receive gifts by God by breathing, I’ve also received a gift by being alive and also having the ability to exist in this world.

Level 3 2020 New Zealand

In New Zealand about weeks ago it went down to level 3. A lot of people in Counties Manukau have been getting warnings and they have about 88 warnings now, if they were to cross lines or break the law and do things that they aren’t supposed to do they will face consequences. McDonald, KFC, Burger King and more have opened in Level 3, it has also come down to 20 deaths In New Zealand and 1,486 people have Corona Virus. Take care and stay safe everyone, stay in your bubbles as much as you can, stay warm and also watch the news when you can

How To Stop CoronaVirus/Covid-19.

• Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
• Stay away from others when unwell.
• Stay 3 metres away from other people. (Social Distancing) 
• Make sure to use hand sanitiser & also wear a mask & gloves all the time.
• Use your elbow to cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing. 

These simple and essential steps should help us from getting this virus. Also make sure to stay in your homes while in lock down. 

Our Last Tech Session At Tamaki College

This Week Wednesday, it was our last week at Tech.  I was in wood work and I made a mirror. I loved it in wood work we receive M&M's when we help out, or clean or beat him in a matchstick game. Sir Grundy was very strict with his rules, we weren't allowed to sit on the stools because a lot of us kept leaning on it. (Whether we fall, hit our head and probably get injured.) I had finished making my mirror but i had to leave it for six hours for the glue to set.

Tech 2019

At tech we were with Sir Grundy. We had to finish off with our 320 piece of wood. A lot of the girls were making a mirror but the boys loved to make toys like trains, helicopters and many more toys. I personally love Wood Work, we have to be on task and focus so that we can get good reports.

Wood Work With Sir Grundy

Today we had an awesome day with Sir Grundy. We had to draw what we wanted to make, we mostly had to focus on the joints. Wood work was really fun, we had the chance to choose eight or more of the things we wanted to make, we used a ruler so that we could know our measurements.

Graphics Tech 2019

Technicraft

On Wednesday we had Graphics at Tamaki.

The first thing we did was made 3D game that was going to get printed by the 3D printer.

I was thinking of making a game of naughts and crosses. (Plot Twist: Using the naughts and crosses into something else other than X or O)

Tech Was On Wednesday!

We had tech at TC, where we were divided into three groups.
Our group was selected by Mrs Tuipulotu who is always present at cooking class.

My partner was Liza, we had fun cooking.
We made appetizing hot cakes but some were burnt but it was still delightful.

1. 1 1/2 cups of SRF (Self Rising Flour).

2. 1/2 cup of sugar.

3. 1 cup of milk.

Combine all together.

Put your stove at 180 degrees.

Use a frying pan to make your hot cakes.

Wait until bubbles pop up and then you will be ready to flip it over.

Sausages With Cheese And Chips

Today was our last cooking session with Mrs Tuipolotu at Tamaki College and for our last day we made sausages with cheese and chips, Yum!. 

Step one - Slice sausages in half.

Step two - Top it up with cheese and tomato.

Step three - Put the oven up to 180c and then bake for 10 mins.

Step four - Serve with tomato sauce.

Fish Pie!

Fish Pie
1 - Peel potatoes and bake until it's cooked
2 -  Mash the potatoes onto a baking tin
3 - Mix tuna fish with 1/2 a can of mushroom cream and 1/2 a cup of mayonnaise
4 - Mix well then top up on potato mash with cheese and bake for 10 mins
Then you would have a delicious meal. Enjoy.

Cooking At Tech

Chocolate Muffin
1 - 2 C of SRF ( South Rising Flour )
2 - 1 C of sugar
3 - 1/2 C of oil
4 - 1 C of Milk
5 - 1 egg
6 - 1/4 of cocoa
7 -  Combine all in a bowl and mix well, scoop the batter into the muffin tray
8 - Bake 180c for 15 mins
9 - Poke your cupcakes with a stick that is clean and then if some batter is on your stick then it's not ready but if it isn't sticky then it's ready.
